ALBANY — Donald George Christman, 67, of Albany, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, surrounded by family, after a battle with cancer. He was born in Newark, Ohio, Jan. 1, 1945, to George and Blanche Christman. Don was a man of great faith, integrity, humor and compassion.

Don is survived by his best friend and partner, Swanee Christman; their daughter, Cathy McDonald, and her family, Todd, Austin and Jason; a son, Darren Christman, and his family, Cara, Kendra and Eric; a sister, Donna Jeffers, and her family, Frank, Amy, Brad and Trisha; his father-in-law, Charles Abraham; his sister-in-law, Roseanne Aydelotte, and her family, Jay, Kristen and Michelle.

Visitation will be held at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home in Athens on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 8:30 to 10:00 a,m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 11 a.m. at St Paul's Catholic Church in Athens with Msgr. Patrick Gaughan as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
