I could not find an obituary for Margene. Her parents and her sister both predeceased her so I guess there was no family member to supply the necessary information.  Here I will try to recreat some of the things that would have been in the obituary to pay tribute to our decease classmate.

Sarah Margene Collette was born on 24 Nov 1943 and died on 21 Jul 2009.  She suffered from metastatic breast cancer   She attended Putnam Elementary School and graduated from Athens High School in 1962.  She was the daughter of the late Sarah Margene Collett and Lawrence Collett.  While in high school she was a member of the Girls Athletic Association, Y-Teens, and the Arena staff.  She was active in theater and was a member of Masquers and Thespians.  She was also a majorette with the band.   Additionally, she was in the chorus, and served as homeroom secretary and treasurer, as well as a member of the J-Prom Committee and the cast of Senior Follies.  

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Barbara J.
