Jan Beckley (Dudash) VIEW PROFILE

ATHENS – Jae Ann (Jan) Beckley Dudash, 74, entered the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ July 18, 2018.

She was born Dec. 29, 1943 to Herbert Paul Beckley and Elizabeth Edmundson Beckley in Athens. She graduated from Athens High School class of 1962. On May 9, 1963, she married the love of her life, Andy Charles Dudash. The Lord blessed them with two sons, Bradley Charles Dudash and Steven Charles Dudash.

Jan studied theology at Ohio Dominican College. She worked with United Methodist Family Services, served at South Bloomfield Methodist Church helping with VBS, fund raising, and prayer groups. She worked with the HUGS project and was instrumental in creating a ministry to serve military chaplains as well as the men and women they serve. She and Andy were lifetime members of The Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

Jan was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age 16 and was not expected to live a long life; however, she constantly reminded us of how God blessed her to not only raise her sons, but also enjoy her grandchildren, Amanda Dudash Wiggins, Melissa Dudash Cornwell, Marcus Pardon-Dudash, Emily Dudash Grim, and Jason Dudash. She was blessed to hold all nine of her great-grandchildren, Claire Wiggins 9, Caleb Cornwell 9, Anabelle Cornwell 8, Jordyn Pardon-Dudash 6, Lilia Wiggins 5, Lynnix Pardon-Dudash 3, baby Fynnleigh Pardon-Dudash, and infant twins Josephine and Robert Daniel Grim.
She will be sadly missed by daughters-in-law Bobbie Dudash and Mary Dudash; dearly loved by sister Betty Maxson; best friend of 45 years Karen Tennant; nieces Heather Dudash and Candace Wells; cousins Ginger Porter and Alice Ledford and the Clay Family.

God is good, she is now forever young, completely healed, and looking into the eyes of God. Family will welcome friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main, Ashville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 21 at South Bloomfield Methodist Church, 5027 2nd SW St. South Bloomfield, with Pastor Floyd Hubbell officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester.

We would like to thank Berger Hospice of Circleville for helping us walk this difficult path, may the Lord bless you. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) Central Ohio Chapter, 100 W. Old Wilson Bridge Road, Suite 118, Worthington, OH 43085 or visit JDRF.ORG.
